Personal Information: I finished my student teaching in December 2018, and I am so excited to share what I learned with my students. When not teaching, I love spending time with my family outdoors or searching for a new restaurant in Sonoma County. My favorite thing to do on the weekends is adventure and enjoy good weather! I love my job and I can’t wait for all the learning, growing, and fun my students and I will have in the classroom.

Reflection: Working with kids has always been my passion, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to teach young children at an amazing school like CCLS. The best part of teaching at a small school is getting to know each student and their family on a personal level. I am excited to learn and grow with my students as they explore and develop the skills that they need to be successful in life. I am so blessed to be part of this community here at Cross and Crown!

Personal Information:  I grew up in Sebastopol, graduating from Analy High School in 1973.  I have been married to my husband, Roy, and a Rohnert Park resident for 44 years.  We have three adult children, Sara, Ryan and Kacie, and a grandson, Katako.  Kacie attended Cross and Crown School from first through eighth grade, and my grandson, Katako, attended TK.  I spend most of my free time caring for my grandson, gardening and reading.

Reflection: I began working with young children by opening a licensed childcare program at my home when I could not find consistently good care for my own children.  I soon discovered that working with children was much more fulfilling than sitting behind a desk all day.  When my youngest was to enter first grade, my good friend and administrator for Cross and Crown at that time asked me to join her staff.  I accepted and my daughter became a Cross and Crown student.  When the elementary school temporarily closed, I taught and directed at other programs, but never experiencing the fellowship and gratitude I feel here at Cross and Crown.

Personal Information: I am a Cross and Crown alumni myself and so blessed to be back in this community as a teacher. I am married and live with my husband in Penngrove with our daughter Reagan, who was born Thanksgiving of 2019. We love spending our weekends at the race track where my husband races sprint cars. This is my 9th year being at Cross and Crown, and  I have a passion for teaching through art and music.

Reflection: I have spent a lot of time working with students who are on the spectrum and through that have learned so much about different ways to teach and reach students of all learning types. As a teacher, my biggest challenge is with each new year learning the class and finding out how the class works together as a community. It always takes a little bit of time to sort through personalities and gain a real sense of togetherness and behavior management. I truly love teaching the younger students and have a heart for community and working as a team in the classroom.
